About Kuching Port Authority

The Chinese community at Kuching Port celebrated the “Hungry Ghosts” festival (Zhong Yuan Jie / Yu Lan Hui / Chinese All Souls’ Day) on Sunday, 10 September 2023 at Pending and Senari Terminals.   During the Seventh Lunar Month, it is believed that the gate of hell is open would to allow spirits to go back to the living world.  Those who have families visit their families and those without families roam the streets seeking food and entertainment.  Thus, every year on the Seventh Lunar Month, with the support and sponsorship from KPA management, staff and the port users, KPA Yu Lan Hui Committee organizes the celebration at Pending and Senari Terminal where offerings are made to appease the spirits and ghosts.   The Management would like to thank all the sponsors and helpers who made the event possible. KPA Staff and the port users were preparing for the ceremony.

In collaboration with The Sarawak General Hospital’s Blood Bank, Kuching Port Authority had organized a Blood Donation Campaign on the 31 May 2023 at Level 1, Port Operations Building (POB), Pending Terminal. International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) 2022 and Sarawak Oil & Gas Services & Equipments Roadshow Event 2022 at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching on  21 until 23 June 2022.      

In collaboration with The Sarawak General Hospital’s Blood Bank, Kuching Port Authority had organized a Blood Donation Campaign on the 22 June 2022 at Level 1, Port Operations Building (POB), Pending Terminal. Official Visit by delegates from Singapore with the Ministry of Trade & Industry of Singapore and Pacific Selatan Agency from Kuching, Sarawak on 14 June 2022 at Senari Terminal.
